Confucius could recognize Zilu's impetuosity from the way he played the qin and from the tunes he chose (relates a long story).

Two stories about Zilu from Kongzi Jiayu are related in Qinshu Daquan, Folio 16, #13. He is also discussed in Folio 16, #31

The melody list in Qin Shu (see QYYL, A, #63) says he wrote a Bei Bi Cao.³
