琅然清圓，誰彈響空山？
無言，惟翁醉中知其天。
月明，風露娟娟，人未眠。
荷蕢過山前，
曰﹕有心也哉此賢。
醉翁嘯詠，聲和流泉。
醉翁去後，空有朝禽、夜猿。
山有時而童顛，水有時而回川，
思翁無歲年。
翁今為飛仙，此意在人間﹕
試聽徽外三兩絃。
While residing in the 琅琊 Langya mountains (Langya also written 瑯琊 and 琅玡), near modern 滁州 Chuzhou 100 km northwest of Nanjing, Ouyang Xiu had built a pavilion which he made famous through his essay An Account of the Old Toper's Pavilion. The photo below left shows a modern attempt to recreate this pavilion. There are also a number of classical paintings giving various artists' views of this pavilion.
