Li Jingxian
- Qin Shi Bu #110 |
李景仙 1
琴史補 #110 2 |
Li Jingxian was a qin player known to the famous poets Ouyang Xiu and Su Dongpo.
The biography quotes a poem by Ouyang Xiu that is also included in Qinshu Daquan, Folio 20A, #40. QSDQ Folio 20A, #39 is also a poem by Ouyang Xiu about Li Jingxian, but the biography here omits it. This other poem begins as follows (note the mention of the sound being like water flowing over rocks),
The second quotation in the biography, based on a longer version included in Qinshu Daquan, Folio 17, #57, seems to come from a letter written in 1189 CE by Su Dongpo to someone called 次公 Cigong (16347. 17???). This perhaps suggests that the 賢師 revered master mentioned is in fact Li Jingxian.
The original essay in Qin Shi Bu says:
Later Su Dongpo (wrote a letter about listening to Li?)
