The last time I visited the MFA it had a qin on display amongst scholarly objects in the China collection. A recording was playing, but it was one of a qin with metal strings, so it was not historically accurate. A search for "qin" in their online collections database shows two qins and a Japanese scroll painting "Yu Zhi playing her qin". The index of Chinese music instruments has these qins on pages 10/11.
