Zixia (507-425) was the nickname of Bu Shang of Wei. He studied with Confucius then retreated to the countryside, where he lived in a hut he built himself. Here he played his qin, happy whether he had visitors or not. When he did play the people were roused (企 qi; in contrast, when #20 Zizhang played they became 俯 obedient). Zixia also played qin with Confucius.
